The
Government by the Commissioner of Economic and Society Development
of Thailand has selected tourist industry to be one of
the most important tools in Economic and Society development
Plan. The Commissioner issued a five-year plan for implementing
the promotion of tourist industry in Thailand. The theme
"Amazing Thailand 1998-1999" has emerged to promote
the mentioned plan and this will result in increasing number
of international tourists to Thailand.
